Terms and Conditions of Sale – Vintage Heat Box
Preamble
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”) govern the sale of mystery boxes of vintage and second-hand clothing by Vintage Heat Box through its website.
By placing an order on our Website, the customer (“Customer”) confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms without reservation.
1. Scope
These Terms define the conditions under which Vintage Heat Box sells mystery boxes of vintage and second-hand clothing to customers through its Website.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
Before placing an order, the Customer is invited to carefully read these Terms.
By validating an order, the Customer expressly accepts these Terms in full.
3. Products
Vintage Heat Box offers mystery boxes containing vintage and second-hand clothing.
Due to the nature of the concept, the exact contents of each mystery box are random and/or curated according to the size and preferences selected by the Customer where applicable.
The Customer acknowledges and accepts that:
- each box is unique;
- the items received may vary in brand, style, colour, category, and composition;
- visuals and photos displayed on the Website are for illustrative purposes only and are non-contractual.
All garments sold by Vintage Heat Box are second-hand and/or vintage items, and may therefore show normal signs of wear consistent with their age and nature.
4. Orders
Orders are placed directly on the Website.
To place an order, the Customer must:
- select the desired mystery box;
- add it to the shopping cart;
- provide the requested personal and delivery details;
- choose a payment method;
- confirm the order.
The order is considered final only once payment has been successfully authorised and accepted.
Vintage Heat Box reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of:
- payment issues,
- suspected fraud,
- abusive or abnormal ordering behaviour,
- stock or operational issues,
- or any legitimate reason.
5. Prices
All prices displayed on the Website are shown in euros (€) and include all applicable taxes (VAT included) unless otherwise stated.
Shipping fees are not included unless expressly mentioned and are calculated at checkout before payment confirmation.
Vintage Heat Box reserves the right to modify prices at any time. However, products will be invoiced based on the price in effect at the time the order is placed.
6. Payment
Payment for orders is made online through the secure payment methods available on the Website, including payments processed via Shopify Payments and/or its authorised payment partners.
The Customer guarantees that they are fully authorised to use the selected payment method.
Vintage Heat Box shall not be held liable for any fraudulent use of a payment method by a third party.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are generally processed and dispatched within 7 to 14 business days from the date of order confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the Website.
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- the destination country,
- the shipping method selected,
- the weight or volume of the order where applicable.
The exact shipping cost is displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Once the order has been dispatched, the Customer will receive a shipping confirmation email including a tracking number where available.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the shipping address provided is accurate and complete. Vintage Heat Box shall not be held liable for delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information.

8. Right of Withdrawal
If the Customer is a consumer located in the European Union, they may benefit from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
The withdrawal period begins on the day the Customer, or a third party designated by the Customer (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods.
To exercise this right, the Customer must notify Vintage Heat Box of their decision to withdraw by means of a clear and unambiguous written statement, by email or post, to:

If the Customer exercises the right of withdrawal, they must return the goods within 14 days from the date on which they notified their decision to withdraw.
Return shipping costs are borne by the Customer.
9. Important Limitation Regarding Mystery Boxes
Due to the specific nature of mystery boxes as surprise and randomised products, returns may be refused or limited in certain circumstances, particularly where:
- the box has been opened and the random/surprise nature of the product has been materially altered;
- the items have been worn, washed, damaged, altered, or are incomplete;
- the returned goods are no longer in a condition suitable for resale;
- the Customer seeks a refund solely because they are dissatisfied with the random selection, where the order has been fulfilled in accordance with the mystery concept described on the Website.
The Customer expressly acknowledges that the surprise and random nature of the product is an essential characteristic of the purchase.
Nothing in this clause affects any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days from the date Vintage Heat Box receives the returned goods, or from the date the Customer provides valid proof of return shipment, whichever occurs first.
Vintage Heat Box reserves the right to reduce the refund amount where the returned items show signs of use, wear, damage, washing, odour, alteration, or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.
Shipping fees are refundable only where required by law.
11. Condition of Goods
All items sold by Vintage Heat Box are vintage and/or second-hand garments.
By placing an order, the Customer acknowledges that such items may naturally include:
- minor signs of wear,
- slight fading,
- small imperfections,
- age-related variations,
- vintage-specific characteristics.
These elements are inherent to the nature of vintage and second-hand clothing and do not automatically constitute a defect.
Any substantial issue must be reported to us within a reasonable timeframe after delivery, with supporting photos where applicable.
12. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights relating to the Website, products, branding, visuals, texts, and content are the exclusive property of Vintage Heat Box or its licensors.
The Customer is not authorised to reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, publish, display, or exploit any part of the Website or its content without prior written consent.
13. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vintage Heat Box shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with:
- the use of the Website,
- the purchase or use of products,
- delays or service interruptions,
- carrier issues,
- third-party service failures,
- force majeure events.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
14. Force Majeure
Vintage Heat Box shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- transport disruptions,
- strikes,
- customs delays,
- natural disasters,
- pandemics,
- governmental restrictions,
- supply chain interruptions,
- technical outages.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in the Customer’s country of residence within the European Union.
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first seek to resolve the matter amicably and in good faith.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, the Customer is encouraged to contact us at:
If no amicable solution is reached, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts in accordance with applicable law.
Consumers may also have the right to use a consumer mediation service where legally available.
16. Telephone Marketing Opt-Out (France)
In accordance with Article L.223-2 of the French Consumer Code, consumers may register free of charge on the Bloctel telephone marketing opt-out list.
