Terms and Conditions of Sale – Vintage Heat Box
Preamble
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”) govern the sale of mystery boxes of second-hand and vintage clothing by Vintage Heat Box through its website.
By placing an order on the Website, the customer (“Customer”) confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms without reservation.
1. Scope
These Terms define the conditions under which Vintage Heat Box sells mystery boxes of vintage and second-hand clothing to customers via its website.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
Before placing an order, the Customer is invited to carefully read these Terms.
By validating their order, the Customer expressly accepts these Terms in full.
3. Products
Vintage Heat Box offers mystery boxes containing vintage and second-hand clothing.
Due to the nature of the concept, the contents of each mystery box are selected at random based on the size and preferences provided by the Customer where applicable.
The Customer acknowledges and accepts that:
- each box is unique;
- the items received may vary in brand, style, colour, era, and composition;
- product photos and visuals shown on the Website are for illustrative purposes only and are non-contractual.
All garments sold by Vintage Heat Box are second-hand or vintage items, which may show normal signs of wear consistent with their age and nature.
4. Orders
Orders are placed directly through the Website.
To place an order, the Customer must:
- select the desired mystery box;
- add it to their cart;
- enter their personal and delivery details;
- choose a payment method;
- confirm the order.
The order becomes final only once payment has been successfully processed and accepted.
Vintage Heat Box reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of:
- payment issues,
- suspected fraud,
- abnormal or abusive ordering behaviour,
- stock or operational issues.
5. Prices
All prices displayed on the Website are shown in euros (€) and include all applicable taxes (VAT included) unless stated otherwise.
Shipping costs are not included in the product price unless expressly indicated and are calculated during checkout before payment confirmation.
Vintage Heat Box reserves the right to change prices at any time. However, products will be invoiced based on the price applicable at the time the order is placed.
6. Payment
Payment is made online via the secure payment solutions available on the Website, including payments processed through Shopify Payments and/or its authorised providers.
The Customer guarantees that they are fully authorised to use the chosen payment method.
Vintage Heat Box shall not be held liable for any fraudulent use of a payment method by a third party.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are generally dispatched within 14 business days from order confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the Website.
Shipping times may vary depending on:
- destination country,
- carrier delays,
- customs or logistical constraints,
- periods of high demand.
Once the order has been shipped, the Customer will receive a shipping confirmation email including a tracking number, where available.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery information provided is accurate and complete. Vintage Heat Box shall not be liable for delays, loss, or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information submitted by the Customer.
If a parcel is returned due to an address error, failure to collect, or refusal of delivery, reshipping costs may be charged to the Customer.
8. Right of Withdrawal
If the Customer is a consumer residing in the European Union, they may benefit from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
The withdrawal period begins on the day the Customer, or a third party designated by the Customer (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods.

Important limitation regarding Mystery Boxes
Due to the specific nature of mystery boxes as randomised and surprise-based products, returns may be refused where:
- the box has been opened and its surprise/random nature has been materially altered;
- the returned items are incomplete, damaged, worn, washed, or no longer in their original resale condition;
This means that the right of withdrawal applies only insofar as the product remains eligible under applicable consumer law and is returned in a condition allowing resale.
The Customer must return the goods within 14 days of notifying their decision to withdraw.
Return shipping costs are borne by the Customer.
9. Returns and Refunds
Where a return is accepted, the Customer will be refunded using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days from the date Vintage Heat Box receives the returned goods or from the date the Customer provides valid proof of return shipment, whichever occurs first.
Vintage Heat Box reserves the right to reduce the refund amount if the returned items show signs of use, damage, washing, odour, alteration, or any handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.
Shipping fees paid at the time of order may only be refunded where required by law.
10. Condition of Goods
All items sold by Vintage Heat Box are vintage and/or second-hand garments.
By purchasing from the Website, the Customer acknowledges that such items may naturally include:
- minor signs of wear,
- slight fading,
- small imperfections,
- age-related variations.
These characteristics are part of the nature and authenticity of vintage clothing and do not automatically constitute defects.
Any substantial issue must be reported within a reasonable time after delivery, with supporting photos where applicable.
11. Intellectual Property
All content available on the Website, including but not limited to:
- text,
- visuals,
- product descriptions,
- logos,
- branding,
- graphics,
- images,
- videos,
is the exclusive property of Vintage Heat Box or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No element of the Website may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, or exploited without prior written authorisation.
12. Liability
Vintage Heat Box shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
- use of the Website,
- purchase or use of products,
- delays or inability to access the Website,
- force majeure events,
- third-party service failures.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
13. Force Majeure

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in the Customer’s country of residence within the European Union.
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first seek to resolve the matter amicably and in good faith.
