SIZING
Because all Vintage Heat pieces are genuine second-hand vintage garments, sizing can sometimes vary from what is written on the label. Over the years, some items may have lost their size tag, while others may have naturally shrunk, stretched, or changed shape through age and wear. This means that vintage sizing does not always fit exactly like modern clothing.
To keep things as accurate as possible, each garment is checked by our team and assigned a size based on how it fits in real life, rather than relying only on the original label. For trousers and legwear, sizing is generally based on the original tagged size when still visible, while also being reviewed during our preparation process.
When placing an order, we usually recommend sizing up if you prefer a more relaxed or comfortable fit, as vintage cuts can vary depending on the brand, era, and style of the piece.
Condition
At Vintage Heat, our standard Mystery Boxes are made up of Grade A vintage clothing. Grade A means the pieces are in good wearable vintage condition, while still showing the natural signs of age that come with authentic second-hand garments. This may include light fading, minor marks, gentle fabric wear, or subtle distressing that reflects the history and character of vintage clothing.
Before any item is packed into a box, it goes through our internal preparation process. Each garment is checked for authenticity, reviewed for overall condition, and quality controlled by our team to ensure it meets the standard expected for our regular selections.
From time to time, some limited or lower-priced selections may include Grade B vintage. These pieces remain wearable and often still highly desirable, but they can show more visible signs of age or wear than our usual standard. This may include more noticeable fading, stronger marks, heavier wear, or more obvious distressing.
These lower-grade pieces are offered as an opportunity to access vintage clothing at a more accessible price point. In many cases, they are still great pieces with plenty of life left in them, simply falling outside the quality threshold of our main selections.
